Happy Canada Day! It’s Canada’s 150th Birthday today, and we’re all celebrating any way we like!
150 years old – that’s pretty young for a country – or a tree! (of course that’s 150 years since settlers arrived; it doesn’t count how long our indigenous people have been here). Still, Canada has done pretty well for itself, contributing a lot to the world in our short time.
A few of my favourites are:
Nanaimo Bar, Butter Tart, Canada Dry Ginger Ale and the Caesar cocktail; a lot of people love Poutine, but it’s not my favourite. And how about the Canadarm for the International Space Station, the snowmobile, basketball, lacrosse, ice hockey; the game Trivial Pursuit (spent many fun hours with that one!); insulin, the cardiac pacemaker; Pablum, the Jolly Jumper, the paint roller, and the Robertson screw.
Not bad for people who are habitually ‘sorry’ – that is, polite! 🙂 Seriously, though, it is nice to read about good things contributed by people who were born in the same country as you are. And it’s nice to know that Canada has a reputation for polite, ‘nice’, friendly people 🙂
Expanding on this niceness – Stampin’ Up! is being super-nice to everyone this month, by bringing back Bonus Days!
This is only the 2nd year for Bonus Days – and we’re happy they’re back!
How Bonus Days Work
It’s super easy to enjoy Bonus Days. For every $60 order (before tax & shipping), you’ll receive a Coupon Code for $6 off any order placed in August! Plus, these Coupon Codes are cumulative, so if you place a $120 order, you’ll receive 2 Coupon Codes! You can redeem as many codes at a time as you want, and there’s no limit to how many codes you can earn. The only thing you need to receive your Coupon Code is your email address; it will be emailed to you directly, by Stampin’ Up!, after your order is processed. If you don’t have an email address, I can input my email, and call you with your Code
Redeeming Your Coupon Codes
Once you’ve received your email with your Coupon Code – don’t lose it!! These codes are one-time issued, and the only record of the code is the email you receive. Neither I nor Stampin’ Up! can retrieve a code once it’s sent to you.
When you’re ready to redeem your Codes in August, you can provide me with your order and your code, and I’ll enter it for you with your order. If you’re placing your own order online, you’ll see a box titled Coupon Code – simply enter your code there, and the system will deduct the amount from your order. If you’re redeeming more than 1 code at once, simply type in the first code, press enter; then type in the 2nd code, and press enter again. Easy peasy! 🙂
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email, or leave a comment on this post. I’ll get back to you right away!
For now, I’ll leave you with a Canada Day card that I made last year, using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies and the Leaflets Framelits.
