Welcome to PCC243 Paper Craft Crew Challenge!
We have another great sketch for you this week; have a look.
Remember that the sketch is a guideline; you can change the orientation, or change the shapes. For example, you could make the circle into a square, or even a butterfly!
For my card, I stayed with the sketch layout, and used the Beautiful You stamp set.
I was so happy when I found out that this Beautiful You stamp set IS carrying over into the new catalogue! It’s definitely been a very popular set. It’s too bad that we have to say good-bye to the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper. Hopefully you were able to grab an extra stack, like I did, before it sold out!
I kept my colours simple; Delightful Dijon and Whisper White cardstock, along with the Serene Scenery DSP. I stamped the dancing lady image in Memento Black ink onto the Whisper White panel, then used my Watercolour Pencils and Blender pen for colouring. I used Rich Razzleberry for her dress and hat. Then I scribbled some Basic Gray onto my Grid Paper, and picked it up with the Blender Pen to add some shadowing. Rays of sunshine were added using the Daffodil Delight pencil.
You can barely see it, but I did put a layer of Delightful Dijon cardstock underneath my stamped panel; I kept it to a 1/8″ margin – just enough for it to peek past the white. I attached a length of Burlap Ribbon behind the image panel, after cutting banner tails in each end. For the sentiment I stamped on Whisper White in Memento Black ink, and used the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. It’s attached in top of a banner of the same pattern DSP, and anchored to the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional. To finish off the card, I added 3 sequins from the colourful Sprinkles Embellishments from the Occasions Catalogue.
Now it’s your turn to create a card, and link up for the challenge! First you’ll want to check out the rest of the Design Team’s terrific projects on the Paper Craft Crew blog. Then you may be our next Top Pick! Good luck to you!
Don’t forget that the Retiring Products sale is still on – there’s still time to order your stamp sets before they’re all gone!
