Welcome back, my stamping friend, to another Sketch Challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!
It has been so great seeing all of the cards submitted for the challenges; we on the design team just love looking at all the great work – though it does make it tough to choose our ‘top 3’!
This week’s challenge has lots of elements to make it interesting:
This is the card I created; I just couldn’t resist using some new products!
For this card I used the new Going Global stamp set, and the Going Places Designer Series Paper. (If you bought the entire Going Global Suite, with the stamp set in wood, the cardstock, the DSP and the World Traveler embossing folder, you would instantly earn 1 Free Sale-A-Bration item!)
I started out with a card base of Basic Black cardstock, layered with a panel of Delightful Dijon cardstock. On top of that is a panel of the Going Places DSP – this great constellations design.
I used the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch to create a background of Delightful Dijon for the world stamp, which was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock in Archival Black ink, and punched out using the 2″ Circle Punch. The sentiment was stamped in Delightful Dijon ink onto Very Vanilla, and the 1″ Circle Punch used to punch it out. All the pieces were layered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Before attaching them to the card front, I first cut 2 strips of different patterns from the same Going Places DSP Stack, and layered them on top of each other down the left side of the card.
It’s difficult to see them in the picture, but I attached 1 large star above and 1 small one below the sentiment, from the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers.
This card was fun and easy to put together, because the whole suite of products goes together so well!
I do hope you’ll check out what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration – just head over to the Paper Craft Crew page! Then create your own version of the sketch, and join in the challenge! Your card just may be one of our next Top 3 picks!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by & have a look 🙂
Until next time – happy stamping!
