PCCCS220 – Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

Welcome, friend, to another weekly challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!

This week we have a sketch challenge for you – I think you’ll like it!

I put on my thinking cap, and this is what I created:

PCCCS220 greetings from santa

I’m on a roll with Christmas cards right now, so I stayed with that, and used the Greetings from Santa stamp set on this card.

I used the new Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and the Big Shot to die cut the 3 small squares from Whisper White cardstock.  Then I stamped the reindeer image on each one, in Smoky Slate ink.  (you can probably see that I need to pay more attention to the ‘front’ and ‘reverse’ sides of the stitched die cuts – oops!)  The greeting is also from the Greetings from Santa set, again stamped in Smoky Slate onto Whisper White cardstock.

On a panel of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, I glued a piece of patterned paper from the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper.  On a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Emerald Envy cardstock, I randomly stamped the snowflake image stamp in Versamark ink, then heat embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool.

I attached the embossed Emerald Envy cardstock to the Cherry Cobbler card base, then added the DSP panel.  I glued on the 3 reindeer images and the sentiment, then added a piece of Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape to the upper right side of the card front.  I tied 2 of the red Mini Jingle Bells together with a piece of the retired Silver Metallic Cording, then attached them and a bow to the card, using Glue Dots.

It was fun using this stamp set in a different way; I hope you like it!  Please feel free to leave a comment, and let me know what you think 🙂

Now, I hope you’ll check out what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration – head on over to the Paper Craft Crew blog page, and that’s also where you’ll find the link to add your card to the challenge!

Until next time -happy stamping!
