SUDSOL Blog Tour – SAVE THE DATE – Feb 3, 2014

Welcome to the SUDSOL  Spring and Sale-a-bration 2014 BLOG TOUR!

You may have come to my blog from the SUDSOL Blog Tour Home Page, or if you're travelling the other way 'round, you may have just seen Sandi Risi's amazing projects – isn't she talented?!

Before I share my projects with you, I thought I'd share with you my impressions of SUDSOL, and why I enjoy being a member!

SUDSOL (which stands for Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing On Line)  is an amazing membership group for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.  I joined SUDSOL almost 2 years ago, shortly after I joined Stampin' Up! as a Demonstrator.  I have found SUDSOL to be an invaluable source of information, with everything from business information (advertising, forms, stamping and non-stamping related), creative information (a gallery with over 70,000 pictures!, member galleries, templates, instructions, class templates, video library, colour charts, etc.) product information & tips (Big Shot, MDS, punches), computer and blog help (DBWS, different blog platforms), community help (chats, forums, idea sharing), recruiting and downline information (how to recruit & retain, helping your downline succeed), and so much more information!

I highly recommend any Demonstrator, whether you're new to Stampin' Up! or have been a Demonstrator for years, to try SUDSOL FREE for 2 WEEKS -don't just take my word for it – CLICK this link SUDSOL - Your 24/7 Upline for your FREE TRIAL and check out my sample gallery.  Then, take the SUDSOL tour, and enjoy!

Here's my first project – I thought I'd start with some Valentine's Day items, since it's coming up soon.

I'm having so much fun with the new Designer Series Papers in the Occasions Catalogues, and who doesn't like FREE stamp sets and punches from Sale-a-bration?!

Supplies:

Cardstock – Whisper White, Pool Party, Real Red (Annual Catalogue)

Designer Series Paper – Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (item#132996 Occasions Catalogue)

Stamp Sets: Perfect Pennants (#133230cm/#133227wm Occasions Catalogue), Banner Blast (#133554cm/#133551wm FREE Sale-a-bration)

Inks: Real Red (#126949 Annual Catalogue)

Tools: Banner Punch (#133519 FREE Sale-a-bration), Adorning Accents Embossing Folders (#125601 Annual Catalogue), Hearts Collection Framelits (#125599 Annual Catalogue)

Accessories: Bakers Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip (Annual Catalogue)

This next card is also for 'love' oriented, but could be used for any occasion, not just Valentine's.

I'm not usually 'big' on Valentine's celebrations, but when I saw this 'Love You to the Moon' stamp set, I just couldn't resist!!  It comes with 7 stamps, both images and sayings, that can be used for multiple occasions, for friends & loved ones.

I included a close up of the card, so you can see that underneath the vellum layer, I used the 'World Map' stamp – because you can look down from a rocket ship to the moon, and see the world, right?! 🙂

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Smoky Slate

Inks: Real Red, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie (Classic Ink Pads and Stampin' Write Markers)

Stamp Sets: Love You to the Moon (#133143 cm/#133340wm Occasions Catalogue)

Accessories: Fancy Foil Designer Vellum -Gold (#133363), Bakers Twine – Gold (#132975), Banners Framelits Dies (#132173) all Occasions Catalogue, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

On this next card, I used what has to be my all time favourite stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue – the new Happy Watercolour stamp set!  It's so easy to create with something so beautiful, especially when you pair it with the Watercolour Wonder Designer Series Paper.  Stampin' Up! makes it simple for us to look like amazing designers!  Check out my card:

See, I was telling the truth, wasn't I?  To paraphrase the sentiment, this set makes me  happy!

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Whisper White (all Annual Catalogue)

Designer Series Paper: Watercolour Wonder Designer Series Paper (#132994 Occasions Catalogue)

Stamp Set: Happy Watercolour (#133191cm/133188wm Occasions Catalogue)

Inks: Tangarine Tango, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party

Tools: Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (#133520 FREE Sale-a-bration), Apothecary Accents Framelits (#127003 Annual Catalogue), Oval Collections Framelits (#129381 Annual Catalogue)

Accessories: Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack – Twine (#133522 FREE Sale-a-bration), Stampin' Embossing Powder – Silver (#109131 Annual Catalogue), Stampin' Dimensionals, Everywhere Glue Stick

For my final  project, I wanted to share a little 3D gift holder.  I really like the size of this one, and the fact that it can 'expand' a bit to hold a larger gift, or more candy!

How cute is this?!  If your recipient is female, you can 'dress it up' to look more like a purse, or if you're giving to a special guy, you can change it up to make it look more like a tote or satchel bag. Another great thing about this gift holder?  There's no cutting – just scoring!!  That's right, the only cutting is when you decorate it!

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Basick Black, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit (all Annual Catalogue)

Designer Series Paper: Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (#133521 FREE Sale-a-bration)

Inks: Crisp Cantaloupe (#131176 Annual Catalogue)

Stamp Set: Yippee Skippee (#131344cm/#131341wm Annual Catalogue)

Tools: Adorning Accents Edgelits (#125595 Annual Catalogue), Banner Framelits Dies (#132173 Occasions Catalogue), Simply Scored Scoring Tool (#122334 Annual Catalogue)

Accessories: Gold Sequin Trim (#132983 Occasions Catalogue), Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack -Cork Flower, Twine (#133522 FREE Sale-a-bration)

And here's a picture of this gift holder open – so you can  see what I mean by 'expandable'.

In the next couple of days, I'll be submitting the instructions for this cute little gift holder to the SUDSOL Library – another great reason why you want to go check it out!
