Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge PCC282

Welcome back, stamping friend, to another weekly challenge with the Paper Craft Crew! This week is a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, so you get to exercise even more of your creative mojo.

TIC-TAC-TOE CHALLENGE

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

For this challenge, you just need to choose 1 line, and incorporate all 3 of the elements in that line into your project. Your line could be horizontal, diagonal or vertical. As far as stamps, colours and layout – the choice is entirely up to you! I can’t wait to see what you create 🙂

I chose the first vertical line, so my card includes ’emboss, oval and Lemon Lime Twist’.

TREAT YOURSELF!

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenege

I am SO glad that we have another year with Lemon Lime Twist as an In Color – I just live it’s bright cheerfulness!

DETAILS

First, create your card base from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score and fold at 4 1/4″. Set aside for now. Next, take a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Berry Burst cardstock  and emboss it with the Big Shot and the Seaside Embossing Folder. (does it remind you of streamers hanging down, or is that too much of a stretch?) Finally, add a panel of Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper (donut pattern) measuring 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″, to the right hand side of the Berry Burst cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock in Lemon Lime Twist ink. Then, add the 2 shapes of confetti, also from this stamp set, in both Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst ink. Use the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut the sentiment. Next, die cut a larger oval  from Basic Black cardstock, using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

PUT THE LAYERS TOGETHER

Attach the Basic Black oval to the middle of the DSP/cardstock panel, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Layer the Lemon Lime Twist 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon over that, attaching it the back of the panel with Tear & Tape. Now, attach the sentiment oval on top, again with Dimensionals. Now you’re ready to add the front panel to your card base.

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

The layers of cardstock and DSP, along with the embossing and 3D appearing images, turn this simple card into lots of fun!

REMEMBER THE INSIDE

Add a panel of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of you card. I always do this, as it gives a good surface to stamp your sentiment, and write your greeting. It also gives a nice, professional finished look to your card.

Stamp the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday set in Berry Burst ink. Add the 2 types of confetti, just add you did on the outside sentiment, in Berry Burst and Lemon Lime ink.
