All Is Bright Designer Series Paper

Well, it’s taken me a while, but I’ve finally opened my All is Bright Designer Series Paper! This paper is in the Holiday catalogue, on page 6. There’s 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. What I love about this paper is that one side is festive, photographic images, and the other is patterns. So, depending on your project, you can use either side. For this card, I chose the photographic images of the gold and silver baubles.

The beautiful, shiny baubles really steal the show! I decided not to compete with the pattern, but rather just add a message.

All Is Bright Designer Series Paper

To create this card, first create a card base of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Next, cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Real Red cardstock, and layer it under a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel of the All is Bright Designer Series Paper, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Wrap a length of 1/8″ Solid Ribbon in Real Red and a length of retired gold ribbon along the left side of the panels; hold in place in back with Tear & Tape.

Next, use your Big Shot with either a retired sentiments dies, or use the new Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies, and die cut the word ‘merry’ from Gold Foil Paper.  Cut a strip of Whisper White cardstock, and stamp the word Christmas in Real Red ink, then overstamp in Versamark ink (do this using your Stamparatus for perfect overstamping). Cover with Clear Embossing Powder, and set with a Heat Tool.  I used a retired stamp for the word Christmas, but you can purchase the Merry Christmas To All Bundle, which includes the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies and the Merry Christmas To All stamp set – and you’ll save 10%!

After heat embossing, use the Banner Triple Punch to punch tails on the right end of the sentiment strip. Attach the sentiment with more Dimensionals. To attach the ‘merry’, use either Mini Glue Dots, or the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Once you’ve attached everything to the front panel, attach it to the card base, with more Dimensionals. Your quick & easy card for the  holidays is now done!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)
