Blah, Blah, Blah

Well, we’ve almost made it to Friday! Or as they say online “Fri-Yay”! I’m not sure whether today’s card is more suited to a tough Monday, or an end-of-the-week, let’s just get it over with Friday! Do you have those days, when you just want to interrupt someone’s sentence and say ‘blah, blah, blah; ya, I know!’ (Okay that would be rude, but you know the feeling, right?) Well, Blah Bunny is here to do that for you!

BLAH BUNNY

I had so much fun creating this card, choosing which sentiments to use from the Blah, Blah, Blah stamp set from Honeybee Stamps. I was giggling away while I was putting this together; good thing my family is used to my silly ways! I’m also known to laugh in my sleep…

Blah, Blah, Blah

Please tell me you’re giggling, too! My gosh – this stamp set just cracks me up! And with all the sentiments in it, you can find plenty of occasions to use it.

CARD DETAILS

Start by cutting strips of cardstock in rainbow colour. I cut 2 strips of each colour (you’ll have left overs), at 1/2″ wide x 4 1/4″ long.  Once I decided on the sequence of sentiments, I set up 2 strips at a time in my MISTI stamping platform. Stamp each sentiment in Versamark ink, and cover with White embossing powder. Set with a heat tool, and then move on to the next 2 sentiments. I only did 2 at a time so that the Versamark wouldn’t dry before I had to heat emboss.

Once your sentiments are done, attach them with liquid glue to a piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of cardstock. I just used white, but you won’t be able to see it, so it doesn’t really matter.  Now attach this  panel to your card base. Next, create your 1/4″ wide black cardstock frame using your Big Shot (or other die cutting machine) with rectangle dies. Use foam tape to attach the frame over the front panel.

On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp your bunny, coffee cup & coffee spill from the Blah Bunny stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Colour in the images with your medium of choice. I used my Faber-Castelle Polychromos pencils.

Die cut the images with the coordinating Blah Bunny dies, and attach them to the front panel with foam tape or squares. I did use just liquid glue to attach the coffee spill.

Blah, Blah, Blah

Can you think of someone who would appreciate a card like this? I’m thinking I should keep this one next to my computer, just for laughs 🙂

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)
