But First, Coffee!

Anything is possible; but first, coffee! I really do need to start every day with at least 1 cup of coffee. Maybe it’s habit, maybe it’s just my routine, but I really do love coffee. After I’ve had my coffee, then I’m ready to tackle what’s ahead of me for the day. At least, that’s what I tell myself!

BUT FIRST, COFFEE!

I was looking through my stamps to see which ones I haven’t used lately. The Echo Park ‘But First, Coffee’ stamp set was hiding in the back, but I found it!

But First, Coffee!

Besides having my favourite beverage on it, this card is also great because it’s quick & easy to make. Perfect for those ‘I need another coffee’ days *wink*

CARD DETAILS

On a panel of white cardstock, stamp the sentiment in the upper left corner. I used Stampin’ Up! Berry Burst ink. Next, stamp the coffee cup image towards the bottom right corner in a soft brown ink. Use a dark brown ink to stamp a few of the coffee bean images around the cup.

On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp the small flowers from the Penny Black Perfect Pairing stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Use your favourite medium to colour them. I used my alcohol markers. Hand cut out the image with your scissors, and attach it to the left of the cup, with foam squares or tape.

I had some retired coffee bean patterned paper in my stash, so I attach my front panel to that, with foam tape. Finally, attach your front panels to the card base.

JUST A BIT OF DIMENSION

Adding just the small flowers to the coffee cup adds just the right amount of dimension to keep this card from looking boring.

But First, Coffee!

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Not a coffee drinker? No problem – this stamp set also has a sentiment for hot chocolate, too! If you need a quick card to invite a friend for a coffee & chat, I’ve included links, where possible, below for your shopping ease!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
