However – this year, you too can have Christmas in July, simply by joining my team, and getting this stamp set for FREE!

I mean holy shmoly – talk about an amazing deal! With all these free supplies, plus your free stamp set added to your Starter Kit (your choice of any current Stampin’ Up! products) you are ready to hit the ground running! As soon as your kit arrives, you’ll be ready to host your own party, a party for a friend, or card classes.

One item that you’ll want to add to your Starter Kit is the coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies (#144674 $40) to make some fabulous Christmas cards, and fancy card fronts.

Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies

Christmas in July

You can see that not only do the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies coordinate with the Carols of Christmas stamp set, but they also offer options for creating unique card fronts.  The larger piece shown at the bottom is actually  upside down; it is used to create a starry sky with a crescent moon.  The very top piece can be used once or twice on the same card front to create a unique border.  There’s also the 2 corner pieces, which die cut poinsettia shapes.  You can use those as many times as you like on your card.

The two tree thinlits create beautiful trees all on their own; perfect for backgrounds or even as focal points on your card.

Christmas in July

I copied a sample card that was made by one of the home office design team.  It was really easy to recreate!

Start with a card base of Whisper White cardstock, then add a panel of Be Merry Designer Series Paper, covering 2/3 rds of the front. Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach it.  To ink the sentiment, use the Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Markers, then stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.  The Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits (largest circle) are used to die cut.

The trees are die cut from Old Olive cardstock using the Card Front Builder Thinlits.  Then use a Sponge Dauber with the Garden Green ink pad to add shading around the edges. Stamp the reindeer in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White, and die cut.

Layer all the die cut pieces onto your card front above the Be Merry DSP, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then, wrap a length of retired Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine around the piece of Glimmer Paper in Gold. Finally, attach it over the join of the the DSP and card front, then add the die cut sentiment.

You just can’t beat the polished final look that the glimmer paper and layered die cuts give your card! Demo Tip: if you don’t have the Stampin’ Write Markers in the colours you need, you can apply the ink to the stamp using a Sponge Dauber, or use the ‘baby wipe’ method to get a variegated colour effect.  You can read about the ‘baby wipe’ technique in THIS POST.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
