Daisy Delight for Paper Craft Crew Challenge

Hello again stamping friend!  I’m so excited about today’s post; I’m using a new bundle called Daisy Delight for Paper Craft Crew Challenge PCC244!

You are going to love our new sketch challenge, and the new bundle I’m sharing with you.

PCC244 – Sketch Challenge

Daisy Delight for Paper Craft Crew Challenge

Ok, so it’s probably pretty obvious why I decided to use the new Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch, when I saw this sketch!  I really did stay true to the sketch on this one 🙂

Daisy Delight

I used 3 colours for this card; Night of Navy, So Saffron and Whisper White.  The large daisy image was stamped in Night of Navy ink 4 times on scrap pieces of Whisper White cardstock, and I punched with the new Daisy Punch.  I used a Sponge Dauber to add a bit more shading towards the center of the daisies.  Using the multiple layers makes me think of a Gerbera daisy – they’re my favourite!

I layered the flowers together alternating Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Glue.  After layering, I used my Bone Folder to curl the petals up & downward, just like a real daisy.  Using the Daisy Delight stamp set, I stamped additional daisies in Night of Navy ink onto the Whisper White panel, and added the dots in So Saffron ink.  The center of the daisy was also stamped in So Saffron ink, then I added one of the new Glitter Enamel Dots.

After stamping, I wrapped some retired Night of Navy Thick Baker’s Twine 3 times around the top 1/3rd of the panel, then attached it to the card base of Night of Navy cardstock.  The sentiment is from the retiring Crazy About You stamp set (you can still get it until the end of May!).  Using the Sponge Dauber again, I edged the sentiment pieces with some Night of Navy ink.  They are attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

The Inside Scoop

I couldn’t resist decorating the inside panel; the lovely little daisies look like they’re falling in a breeze!  Since I’m not sure who this card will go to, I haven’t added a sentiment yet.  You can see the sheet of gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots in front – aren’t those colours amazing!  And each colour goes from light to dark, in an ombre style.  I know I’ll be using these a lot!

Join In The Challenge

You are going to be SO excited when you get your hands on the new catalogue 🙂  But until then, use what you have, and join in the challenge! Remember, the sketch is a guide, so you don’t have to use a flower for that focal point; feel free to substitute a different shape.  Check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards on the Paper Craft Crew page, then grab the link and join us!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Your card caught my eye in the design team display at PCC. I love your colors and hints on curling the petals. The 4 makes it a full flower. I like Gerbera daisies too. TFS.
