EVERYDAY BOUQUET TURNABOUT STAMP SET
Hello again, stamping friend! Well, I’ve survived our snowy Sunday, and as I’m typing this on Monday morning, we’re expecting another 5-15cm of snow! I’m lucky because I work from home; I feel badly for those who have to travel to & from work, and those who have to work outside. My eldest son is one of the latter; which is why he actually appreciates receiving long johns for Christmas! Today’s card I’d like to share has some bright spring-like colours, just so we know what we’re looking forward to. I’ve once again used the Everyday Bouquet Turnabout stamp set by Concord & 9th.
JUST A LITTLE NOTE
I love how easy the Turnabout stamp sets make it to add multiple colours in one image!
You can choose any colour combination you like. I think next time I might try a monochromatic scheme; or how about embossed white on a dark background? That would be interesting!
CARD FRONT DETAILS
Once you’ve placed your Turnabout Jig in your stamp platform, and lined up your stamp and cardstock, you’re ready to go! There are 2 very important things to remember while using the Turnabout stamp sets. First, clean off your stamp each time after stamping. Second, be sure to turn your Jig AND the cardstock together each time! Don’t just turn the cardstock! (ask me how I know to remind you of this! LOL)
The colours I used are Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn Distress inks.
After stamping the image, stamp the sentiment from the Sentiment Collection stamp set by Penny Black, onto white cardstock in Mowed Lawn ink. Layer it on top of a 1″ wide strip of coloured cardstock, with foam squares or foam tape.
Use the Everyday Bouquet Dies with your Big Shot to die cut some of the small sprigs, and one of the small flowers, from cardstock.
LAYER IT TOGETHER
Layer the sentiment strips across the middle of the bouquet image. Next, tuck in the die cut foliage and flower around the sentiment, using liquid glue. Attach the front panel to a dark green cardstock panel, and then layer it all onto a card base that coordinates with the Spiced Marmalade ink.
Although the card comes together quite quickly, it looks like more time was spent on the creating. That’s all thanks to the multiple colours, and the layers and of course, the Everyday Bouquet Turnabout stamp set!
