EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY
Sometimes, you just need a simple card, without a lot of ‘extras’ on it. I think that’s what today’s card is about. A nice simple card, to let a friend know that everything will be okay. I used the Blah Bunny stamp set & dies from Honeybee Stamps, and did some ink blending for the background.
This bunny is so cute, in his own plopped down, spread out way! The Blah, Blah, Blah stamp set has perfect sentiments to go with the image, it really is a ‘must have’ to go with the Blah Bunny.
I went with blues to convey the feeling of exhaustion; of being tired of the way things are – but thanks to the sentiment, we know it’s gonna be okay!
Start with a panel of white cardstock. Use your Life Changing Blender Brushes and blend on Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress inks. On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp the bunny image in light brown ink, and then again in Versamark ink, and heat emboss with Clear Embossing powder. Stamp the flag in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then use the matching Blah Bunny Dies and die cut both images.
Use your markers or pencils to colour in the bunny. I used my new Polychromos pencils; it’s my first time using them, so my colouring isn’t as smooth as I hope it will be!
Stamp the sentiment in Broken China ink onto a strip of white cardstock. Glue the sentiment to the blended panel with liquid glue. Next, attach the bunny above the sentiment, as if he’s lying on top of it, with foam tape. Finally, attach the white flag with a foam square.
LAYER THE CARD TOGETHER
To finish off your card front, attach the front panel to a panel of white cardstock with foam tape or squares. Next, attach those panels to a dark blue card base. Simple, and easy.
