Hearts Come Home

Hello stamping friend! Today I’d like to share with you one of my favourite sets from the Holiday catalogue, called Hearts Come Home.  The stamp set is available in wood and clear mount, and has a total of 16 stamps.  It also has a set of coordinating edgelit dies, called Hometown Greetings Edgelits; it comes with 6 dies.  Of course, you can purchase them together as a Bundle, and save 10%!

This card highlights the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies.

Hearts Come Home

This lovely card is quite quick to make, thanks to the edgelits! It would be a great card to make, if you have to create multiples for the  holidays.

My card base is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored and folded at 4 1/4″.  I took a 4 ” x 5 1/4″ panel of Night of Navy cardstock, and die cut the moon & stars shapes using the Card Front Builder Thinlits and the Big  Shot. Next, I took a 4 1/2″ x 4″ panel of Whisper White cardstock, and die cut the houses and trees with the Hometown Greetings Edgelits.

Next, I wanted the sentiment to stand out on the Night of Navy, but didn’t want to add another piece of cardstock. So, I stamped the sentiment from Hearts Come Home in Versamark ink, covered it with Silver Embossing Powder, then heat set it with my Heat Tool.

Putting the card together went really quickly! I attached the Night of Navy panel to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attached the edgelit panel to the bottom with more Dimensionals.

I love the way to 2 sets of dies worked together to create this great night scene!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
