Hello Stamping Friends! My goodness – where has the time gone?!
Between being busy with final classes before Christmas, coming down with a nasty stomach virus, and trying to accomplish family Christmas preparations – I've been busy! How about you? Do you celebrate Christmas? What are some of your favourite and/or traditions that you share?
Well, I'm still not ready, but I'm determined to be more constant at posting here on my blog; I mean, who wants to visit a blog where there's never anything new? 🙁
So, I'm starting this resolution before New Year's, and I'm asking you to hold me to it! If I'm a way a few days – call me on it! Click on 'email Deb', and send me a wake up email 🙂
Okay, so here's a start; this week I did a private party for a wonderful customer and her friends, and I introduced them to some heat embossing, dry embossing, and of course the tools to go along with those techniques; the Big Shot and the Heat Tool! Woohoo – what fun! 🙂 No worries; the ladies rose to the challenge, and made some wonderfu projects that I'd like to share with you here.
We started off easy, just to get back into the rhythm of stamping – this card was made using the 'Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit' (item #132158 $11.95) and the coordinating 'Merry Little Christmas' stamp set (#131826 $16.95wm/#131829 $13.95cm). This kit is perfect, as everything is included from the envelopes & liners, right down to the cutest little red buttons and Gumball Green bakers twine!
You stil get the 'traditional' red & green, but with the trendy Coastal Cabana blue 🙂
This is a wine bottle tag we made, where the heat embossing came into play!
I'm so happy that the Ornament Keepsakes (#128048 $42.95wm/#128051 $31.95cm) was carried over this year – I love them, and their matching Framelits! The sentiment stamp 'Cheers' (#134769 $7.95) is one of the new single stamps available. Both the sentiment and individual ornaments were stamped in VersaMark, then coloured ink, covered with clear embossing powder, then heat set. Viola! Instant shine & magic!
Since we were into the 'cheers' theme, this is the next card we created; it used a retired background paper, but the stamp set 'Cheers to You' is available in the Annual Catalogue.
Isn't the shine of the Gold Foil Sheet behind the glasses just wonderful? I think that this would make a great New Year, wedding or Anniversary card, too, if the sentiment stamp were changed.
Next is a quick gift card holder, featuring the 'Tags 4 You' stamp set (#131820 $24.95wm/$131823 $19.95cm) and coordinating Label Bracket punch (#132153 $21.95).
You can see that the gift card slips into the inside tag, which easily slides out with a pull of the ribbon. I just love the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack (#132181 $8.50) with it's cute on-trend patterns and colours.
I'm sorry to say that I don't have a picture of the last gift card that we made; I gave it away before taking a picture! 🙁 But, I will be making more for my own gift-giving, so I promise to take a picture of it & share! It's very pretty, using the Snowflake Kit.
Some reminders before I sign off for tonight; the Clearance Rack Blitz is still going on; lots of goodies still available, some at up to 80% OFF! Definately worth checking out! Also, the Weekly Deals will be happening again this Tuesday, so be sure to check back.
Tomorrow I'm going to switch away from Christmas, and share a cute baby card for a friend who just had their first baby – a boy! 🙂
Until tomorrow – Happy Stamping!
