I’m so excited – this is it! My very first trip to Orlando, and my very first Leadership conference with Stampin’ Up! Of course both things are a good reason to be excited, but I’m also looking forward to making lots of new friends, and meeting up with friends whom I’ve only met ‘on line’ on our demonstrator website. There are so many great reasons to become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, but I have to say – the amazing friends you make is one of the best! Not only the fabulous other demonstrators that you meet, and feel like you’ve become one large family, but of course the terrific friends you make holding classes, parties and other events. It really is fun! 🙂
I’m also a bit nervous; I’ve done my fair share of flying around the world, but this is the furthest I will have flown on my own!! Maybe I’ll meet some other demonstrators on one of the planes?! We’re probably an easy ‘type’ to spot; we’re clutching our carry-on bags for dear life, because that’s where we have our precious swaps stashed!! If our suitcase gets lost, that’s one thing; but the swaps?!! Heaven forbid! LOL
I’m also going to be missing my 3 boys for 4 days…4 boys, if I count our dog Shadow (he is one of the family, after all!). But I will be calling each evening, to make sure they’re surviving without me. I’ve stocked the freezer with dinners; of course, whether they take them out of the freezer & put them into the oven – well, that’s out of my control!! They do know how to dial for take-out 🙂
So before I go – did I mention that I have to be at the airport at 4 a.m.?! – I thought I’d share with you the Weekly Deals, and give you a peek at some of the swaps that I’ve made.
How about this? 6 embossing folders! Plus, if you like to have a smaller machine for just embossing (it doesn’t cut), you can get the Texture Boutique Machine for only $27.71. Such a deal – but remember, these hot prices are only good until next Monday, Feb. 2nd – so get ’em now! You can place your order online by clicking HERE, or if you want me to place your order, you can email your details to me at email@example.com – just remember, I’ll be away until Sunday, Feb. 1st.
Okay – so here’s a sneak peek at some of the swaps I’ve made for Leadership. **if you’re attending Leadership, and are in an organized swap with me – this is your Spoiler Alert!!**
I did 32 card fronts for one organized swap – those are the cards in the front; and 18 for a second organized swap – the ones in the back. An ‘organized’ swap simply means that the people participating sign up ahead of time, so that everyone knows how many cards to make. I used 2 of my favourite sets from the new Occasions catalogue; in the front is Sheltering Tree, and behind is Butterfly Basics.
I’m going to save the ‘close-up’ views until tomorrow – that’s when we’ll be doing our swaps, so I won’t be spoiling anyone’s surprise! Oh – and the reason why I use the Stampin’ Up! clear envelopes is to keep my precious cargo safe! No fingerprints, no losing rhinestones or pearls….if they do fall off, they’re caught inside the envelope, and I can reattach them before the swap 🙂
Okay folks, time for me to finish my last minute packing! I hope you’ll come back and follow my posts – I’ll be posting updates from Orlando – hopefully the Wi-Fi connection will play nicely! Did you know I also post to Instagram? And Pinterest! You can follow me there, too – STAMPANDCREATE on Instagram, and http://pinterest.com/deborahstamps for Pinterest.
Until next time,
