I’m sure that like me, you are blessed with wonderful, supportive friends – and you are, like me, truly grateful for them!
Recently (while I was away in the U.K.) I celebrated my birthday, and waiting for me when I arrived home were some gorgeous birthday cards, from some of my stamping friends!
One was from a fellow Watercooler Wednesday and Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop friend; I’ve been so fortunate to meet Penny Hanuzsak in person, she is such a wonderful person!
This is the card I received from her; I think she knows how much I love the colour blue!
Isn’t this stunning? Penny does some gorgeous watercolouring! She used the Birthday Blooms stamp set for the flowers and sentiment, and you can just see that she embossed the panel with the Fluttering Embossing Folder, for the gentle background of butterflies.
You may remember me posting about Shannon West’s #imbringingbirthdaysback campaign, to get people to send more handmade (or any kind!) birthday cards. Well, I was the lucky recipient of card #1527 – that’s right, my card was the 1,527th that Shannon had sent! – and it’s beautiful!
I just love the bright cheerful colours , and the strip of Silver Glimmer Paper! I don’t recognize everything that was used to create the card, other than the Bold Butterfly Framelit with the coordinating Watercolour Wings stamp (believe it or not, I don’t have everything in the catalogue memorized by name!).
Another demonstrator who joined in the #imbringingbirthdaysback campaign is Amy Combs – who, by the way, is celebrating her $400,000 sales milestone!!
Amy’s fun card shows off the new In Colours, using the Marquee Messages stamp set. And look at the bling on that arrow! I feel like a star 🙂
So you see, we have to remember – we make cards, to SEND CARDS! I’m just as guilty as the next person; I make a lot of cards each month, but most of them remain in my ‘stash’, unsent. Whether it’s for a birthday, anniversary, sympathy or just because – send someone a smile in the mail today! You – and they- will be glad you did! 🙂
Until next time – happy stamping!
