Hey there, stamping friend! I can tell that you’ve been enjoying our challenges lately, because there have been amazing cards submitted!!  I am love seeing all of the creative interpretations of our challenges.

This week it’s my turn to host – and I chose a colour challenge!

There you go!  The theme is your choice – just make sure you use all of the colours included in the picture above.  I’ve even given you the neutrals – Whisper White and Basic Black.

Of course, seeing the Real Red and Old Olive made me think of Christmas – so this is what I designed:

Santa's sleigh

I just love the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set, and the coordinating Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits Dies.  Of course I took advantage of buying the Bundle, and saved myself 10%!

To create my card front, first I stamped the sleigh on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock in Soft Suede.  I stamped the tree in Old Olive ink onto Old Olive cardstock, and the reindeer in Soft Suede ink onto Soft Suede cardstock.  Then using the Big Shot and Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits Dies, I die cut each piece, then die cut the overlay for the sleigh from Real Red cardstock.

Once I had all the pieces ready, I assembled them onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock, using the Tombow Liquid Glue to glue everything down.  Then I used the Reason for the Season stamp set for the sentiment, and stamped it in Real Red ink onto the upper left corner of the panel.

I then layered the Whisper White onto a panel of Real Red, then layered that onto my card base of Basic Black cardstock.

How fun is that!  And so easy to do, thanks to having the Santa’s Sleigh Bundle, and using the Precision Plate when die cutting.  I think this is a must-have bundle, that I’ll keep for many seasons to come 🙂

Now, you really NEED to check out the amazing designs created by the rest of the Watercooler Artists – they did such a fabulous job with my colour challenge!  Just click over to the Watercooler Wednesday challenge blog, then link up your own card!  I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project; whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :) If you're in Canada, you can Join My Team as a SU! demonstrator. If you're in the Great Vancouver area, you're welcome to join my classes - we always have fun!
