Scrap 'N Stamp Pop Up Shop

It’s done – the malicious bots defeated! If you’ve been wondering why you haven’t seen any new posts since Friday, this is why. My poor site was being attacked by malicious bots. Now, I’m not an expert at any of this; of course I contacted my site host, who jumped on the case. I won’t go into all the details (not that I totally understand them anyway), but I’m back! Thanks so much to Amy at websybyamy.com for keeping my site safe, and running.

SCRAP ‘N STAMP POP UP SHOP

I wasn’t able to post over the weekend, but hopefully you also follow me on my Facebook business page HERE, to see updates. Scrap ‘N Stamp, the wonderful Vancouver-based shop for which I’m on the Design  Team, ad a Pop Up Shop over the weekend. It was so fun to go, shop, and I got to meet Raya, the owner and Hortencia, one of the lovely ladies who works there and processes our orders.  Here’s a picture that my crafty friend Lynn took of the 3 of us. Thanks, Lynn! (left to right: me, Rays, Hortencia).

Malicious Bots Defeated!

I also got to meet another member of our Design Team, the talented Nancy F. of Nancy Grace Creations. Unfortunately, we were busy shopping & chatting, and I didn’t think to get a photo! Next time, for sure.  The Pop Up ran from Saturday through the holiday Monday. I was there with my friend Lynn on the Saturday, and it was very busy! There was SO much stock on hand, I don’t know how Raya managed to do it. But it sure helped out with my shopping *wink*  I took a picture just to show how great everything was organized, and how busy it was.

Malicious Bots Defeated!

I think it’s safe to say it was a huge success; judging by the happy faces in the shop.  I picked up some great stamps, dies, a couple of alcohol ink colours and some sparkly cardstock.  Here’s a picture of my ‘haul’; it does include a few things I had put on order before the weekend.

Can you see the shiny Foil Paper Pack from Concord & 9th? It has gold, silver and copper sheets! Oh – and take a look at the gorgeous, sparkly paper I bought!

Lawn Fawn glitter paper

I bought a pack of the ‘pixie dust’, which is the top one. The one underneath is called sparkle cardstock ‘autumn’ – look at the amazing colours! I’m going to have such sparkly fun with my holiday cards. 🙂  I forgot to add it in for the photo – I also picked up a pack of Gina K. Metallic Gold cardstock – it’s a beautiful brushed gold!

SECOND WEEK FOR THE PAPER CRAFT CREW CHALLENGE

Normally I would be sharing a new challenge for the Paper Craft Crew, since it’s Wednesday. However, the challenge I shared last week is a 2 week challenge – so you’ve got 1 more week to enter! Check out the details of the sketch challenge in THIS POST. Then, create your card and enter it for the challenge. After next week, we’ll be back to our regular 1 week schedule.

SEE YOU TOMORROW!

I will be back tomorrow with a regular post – I hope to see you then! In the meantime – happy crafting! To have a closer look at my fabulous ‘haul’ of goodies, I’ve included links for you below for online shopping. (not including the dozen or so alcohol ink colours I bought – you know you’ll see lots more of those projects, too!)

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)

  1. I was just about to email you and ask where you were! I am glad you are ok and that you had fun at the store. I am jealous. We don’t have any stamp stores around here.

    1. Thanks, Susan! I’m glad to be back online 🙂 Yes, the Pop Up shop was really fun! Ordering online is convenient, but it’s always nice to ‘see & touch’!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
