Metallic Embellishments Challenge

This week’s Paper Craft Crew challengePCC239 is a theme – a Metallic Embellishments challenge!

Metallics Embellishment Challenge

I decided that this would be a great chance for me to jump into my preorder of the Eastern Palace Suite!  You’re going to love  this suite of products.

Even though I can’t share pictures of the products or stamp set in their cases, I can share my finished card! I can also tell you which products I used.  I know you’ll want the bundle.

Metallic Embellishments Challenge

I love the elegance of this stamp set, and the opulence of the colours.

My colours are very simple for this card; Very Vanilla, Tranquil Tide (new In Colour) and Gold.

The Metallic Embellishments Challenge was met using the new Gold Tassel, the Eastern Gold Vinyl Sticker (at the bottom of the card and in the middle of the die cut) and the Gold Sequins. Although some may not consider it an embellishment, I also heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder on the die cut medallion.  The stamp set is called Eastern Beauty. I stamped the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink.  It was easy to do – it’s already curved for use!

The centre medallion from the Easter Medallion Thinlits Dies partially die cuts the middle ‘petals’.  You can see the detail in this next picture.

And in this picture.

The beautiful gold patterned paper is new; it’s from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.

You will be able to order the Eastern Palace Suite in 2 special bundles, on May 1st.  There’s information about it in my post HERE.  In the meantime, if you like the current size of the Sequin Trim in Gold (or the other currently available colours) you’ll want to order it NOW, as it’s on the Retiring List.  There will be sequin trim available in the new catalogue, but in a different (smaller) size.

Now it’s your turn to join our Metallic Embellishments Challenge!  Check out what the rest of the Design Team have created on the BLOG HERE.  Then check out your stash of embellishments and join the fun 🙂  I’ll be watching for you!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Oh my goodness. This is absolutely beautiful! My box arrived yesterday and I can’t wait to play with it. After seeing your card, I am so glad I bought this set!

    1. Thanks, Susan! So glad that you like my card. You’ll love playing with this suite; I’ve just started, and can see there’s so many options with it. I can’t wait to see what YOU create! 🙂

    1. Sure! My contact info is in the header of my blog. I didn’t use any ‘tricks’ – for the large sticker, I cut in in half while it was still on the sheet, then applied it to the cardstock.

  2. I tried to call you. Are you by any chance in Canada? If you are, then I can’t call you! Boo Hoo! Was looking forward to talking with you. Thank you for making such a beautiful card!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Yes – I am in Canada! So sorry we can’t chat 🙁 You can click on ’email Deb’ or email me at if you have any questions (or just to chat 🙂 )

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
