Oh my gosh – I had such fun playing with the new Coffee Cafe stamp set and the new Embossing Paste that I just had to make another card! You’ll always hear me ask for more coffee please!
If you missed my post for the Paper Craft Crew challenge yesterday, you can SEE IT HERE. I can’t stop talking about how much FUN the new Embossing Paste is to use 🙂
This is how you receive the Embossing Paste – it comes in a 4 oz jar, ready to use. You can either use it as is, white – or add some ink from your ink refill bottles to colour it! I like to use my Silicone Craft Mat when mixing ink into it. If you don’t have one of those, you can always use one of your Clear Blocks.
Pattern Party Decorative Masks
These masks are made from heavyweight acetate, so they can stand up to repeated use. They are perfect for using with the Embossing Paste, as well as for use with Sponge Daubers, Sponges and Brayers for creating patterns on your projects. It’s an awesome way to add extra texture and depth to your card, without adding another physical layer of cardstock! And you get all 4 masks for only $8!
When using the masks with the Embossing Paste, the thing to remember is that IT DRIES QUICKLY – so to keep your tools in tip top shape, make sure you clean them immediately after use! As my Dad (the carpenter) always said; ‘take care of your tools, and your tools will take care of you!’ Wise man, my Dad!
More Coffee Please!
I had mixed some Crumb Cake ink with my Embossing Paste for my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card, and had some left over. Well – that meant I got to have more fun, and make another card! Waste not, want not! (another saying from wise ‘ol Dad! Scottish people don’t waste, you know! 🙂 )
This time I used a card base of Berry Burst, and made myself a frappucino! The only thing better than a cup of coffee is a cup of coffee with a good friend 🙂 I love the sentiments in this set.
Again I used the brick pattern from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks set for the background. I stamped a few random coffee beans in Soft Suede ink, then added a length of 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon in Berry Burst. After stamping the cup, lid, sentiment, straw and whip (using Soft Suede, Dapper Denim, Pool Party, Berry Burst ink and Whisper White cardstock), I used the Coffee Cup Framelits and Big Shot to die cut.
Layering them over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I then added an Itty Bitty Bow (these are so stinkin’ cute!) also in Berry Burst. This card came together very quickly.
