Hello there, Stamping Friends!

I just wanted to pop in and say a quick 'hi'!  I'm busy finishing up getting ready for tomorrow night's All Occasions card class – it's a smaller group tomorrow night, but I'm still preparing the kits for 2 of my clients who aren't able to attend.  I'm happy to do this; that way they don't miss out on making the cards, although of course we miss them at the class 🙂

I'm also doing tutorials for the cards we're making tomorrow, as there are a couple of fun, new styles, and I thought you'd like to enjoy them, too!  I hope to have them posted soon.  This weekend we're having a family dinner to celebrate my youngest son's 16th birthday (which is actually on Monday).  Wow – 16 years old!!  I haven't recovered from my eldest son turning 19 last month! LOL  How is it that they get older, and I'm still the same?  Ha ha! – I wish!!

I also just wanted to say 'congratulations' to our Canadian Women's Curling Team, and the Canadian Women's Hockey Team, for both capturing GOLD medals at the 2014 Olympics!!  What a fierce competition; I think everyone played their best, on all sides.

My son's high school also likes to get in the spirit.  The school mascot is a Viking, and years ago some of the school kids and the shop teachers made this enormous (like 15-20 feet tall) Viking head, that sits up on the hill beside the school.  Well, not to be outdone, the design students create various 'head wear' for the Viking, that goes on top of the helmut – bunny ears at Easter, a toque during winter – and this is what they've done to show their Canadian pride during the Olympics!

Great, right?!  It's good to see that the school fosters the pride for the students 🙂

I hope you're enjoying some of the Olympics, if you enjoy watching them.  I'd better get back to work, so that I have some pictures and tutorials to share with you!

Until next time – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
