Welcome back to another sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!
We have another great sketch for you to use as a starting point for your card:
I decided to make the beautiful Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper the focal point on my card:
My card base is Mossy Meadow cardstock, layered with a panel of Hello Honey cardstock. I stamped the small flower image in Hello Honey ink onto the Hello Honey cardstock, for a tone-on-tone look. The DSP panel is layered on top of a panel of Whisper White cardstock, with strips of Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze cardstock.
I used the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies to die cut the leaves from Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive cardstock, and die cut the flowers from Mint Macaron, Hello Honey and Cajun Craze cardstock. I stamped the details on the leaf and centres on the flowers using the coordinating Botanical Blooms stamp set – did you know that you can also use these stamps to stamp details onto some of the DSP as well?! It’s so versatile! You can also use the Dies to cut the leaves out of the DSP, too.
I layered the flowers on top of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then popped the sentiment on top of the leaves. I had stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect set in Hello Honey, then used the Bitty Banners Framelits to die cut it. In this picture, you can see how how the flowers and leaves really stand out – I love the 3D look!
This was a fun card to make, even though it had minimal stamping! The DSP and the Dies really did all the work on this card.
I hope you liked my card, and if you haven’t already, please pop over to the Paper Craft Crew page and see the amazing cards the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration. Then of course, join the challenge! Create your own card, link it up to the challenge, and you may be our next Top Pick!
