Welcome to this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge PCC238!
It has been great seeing the amazing cards you have been posting for our challenges. We on the Design Team really appreciate you taking the time to create your projects for the challenges. It really makes us feel good to see you enjoying them, and I love reading your stories about how you come up with your designs.
I think you’ll like this week’s sketch; have a look:
Here’s My Card
I liked the different layers in the sketch, and decided that I wanted to create a scene (but in a good way – not the pitching a fit in public kind of scene!).
I knew that the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack would be perfect for this beach scene. Cutting 2 panels from the DSP, I layered the smaller one over the bottom of the larger, and stamped the flying birds first. Then, I stamped the standing birds – I think maybe they’re Sandpipers, or Terns – on the bottom piece only. All were stamped in Soft Suede ink.
After stamping, I layered each stamped piece onto panels of Island Indigo cardstock. I then layered first the larger panel (flying birds) then the smaller panel onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Crumb Cake cardstock. After adding the banners of Island Indigo and Crumb Cake cardstock, I wrapped the Linen Thread twice around the top, then tied off in a bow.
Finally, the sentiment from the Crazy For You stamp set is stamped in the bottom right corner.
This is the first time I used the High Tide stamp set without using the lighthouse image! I really like the images in this set, and the sentiments.
