Welcome to a new week, my friend! I’m kicking off my week by joining the Paper Players Sketch PP465 challenge. I’m still in my creative funk, and I find that using sketches is a great way to get regenerated. Here’s what the sketch looks like.

PP465 SKETCH

Paper Players Sketch PP465

I stayed with the sketch this time, not making any changes to the layout. The only change I made was to omit the sentiment across the bottom, as I used a sentiment for the focal area.

IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY

Paper Players Sketch PP465

I pulled out some fun birthday paper from my stash, and added some WOW embossing powder to the sentiment.

CARD DETAILS

After cutting all of the layers, stamp the sentiment from the Studio Katia It’s Your Birthday stamp set in Versamark ink. Cover it with WOW Embossing Powder in Florida Sunset. This gorgeous pink is mixed with gold, which gives you a unique finish after heat setting. Add  a few of the streamers from this set, in Lemon Lime Twist ink. Next, stamp the 2 balloons from the Stampin’ Up! Balloon Adventures set in Lemon Lime Twist and Lovely Lipstick ink, and Versamark. Cover with clear embossing powder, and heat set. Use the SU! balloon punch, for punching them out.

Attach all of the base layers to the card base. Next, attach the focal sentiment and balloons with foam tape.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)
