PCC310 – TIC TAC TOE CHALLENGE
Hello stamper! Do you have your creative hat on today! I hope so – for PCC310 Tic Tac Toe challenge is going to be just that – a challenge! The Paper Craft Crew Design Team like to offer up a real challenge sometimes. Some are easier than others, but I did have a bit of challenge with this one.
PCC310 TIC TAC TOE
Okay – here’s the Tic Tac Toe challenge. You must choose 1 line – either vertical, horizontal or diagonal, and include all 3 things from that line.
The day that I was creating my project, I just honestly wasn’t in the ‘mood’ for a fancy fold. So that left fewer options for me. I finally decided on the top vertical row; animals, natural element and spooky. Let’s have a look at what I came up with.
I haven’t ordered any of the Hallowe’en stamps from the catalogues in a few years, so I dug back into my stash and pulled out my Frightening Feline single stamp.
I love how the cat shape is made up of words that you would use for Hallowe’en, or spooky!
CARD FRONT DETAILS
First, use the Big Shot with the Layering Circles Framelits. Die cut 2 circles the same size; one in Whisper White, one in Basic Black cardstock. On the Whisper White, you want to create your spooky moon background. Use ink pads in Daffodil Yellow, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze. Start with the Daffodil Delight, and with a Sponge Dauber, sponge on the colour near the middle of the circle. Now repeat the process with the Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze inks, using a new Sponge Dauber for each colour, and blending them outwards. Add some extra dark shadows around the edge with the Cajun Craze.
Now you can ink up the Frightening Feline stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and stamp the cat onto the moon.
To create the background, cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel of Whisper White cardstock. Next, open up the Woodland Embossing Folder, and the Gray Granite ink pad. On the debossed side of the folder (the side were the images are indented), swipe the ink pad over the background, until covered to your satisfaction. Now, insert the white cardstock, close the embossing folder, and run it through the Big Shot. Voila! You’ve created a spooky gray background between the trees! Isn’t that a fun extra way to use your embossing folders?!
Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Basic Black cardstock, and attach the embossed panel to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut a length of the Burlap Ribbon and 1/2″ Satin Ribbon (or I used some retired Black Shimmery Ribbon). Fray the ends of the Burlap Ribbon, then attach the black ribbon on top, with Tear & Tape. Next, wrap the ribbon ends around the left edge of the panels, and across the front of the panels. Hold in place with more Tear & Tape. Now attach the spooky moon focal piece above the ribbon, with Dimensionals.
Finally, attach the front panels to a Pumpkin Pie cardstock card base.
ADD TO THE INSIDE
Attach a panel of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card. From the Best of Hallowe’en stamp set (retired), stamp the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink, and witch’s hat in Memento black ink.
ANOTHER LOOK, THEN JOIN THE CHALLENGE!
Isn’t that cute? I don’t think anyone could find this card too spooky – cute, but not spooky 🙂
