Well hello again, my stamping friend!  I hope you’re enjoying your day, and have taken a minute to pop by for some creative inspiration 🙂

I’m here to share with you my latest card for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #141 – otherwise know as PCCCS141.

This was a nice simple sketch :

PCCCS141

The trick is, if you want single images, you have to find ones that will fit inside the squares!  Here’s what I decided to do:

PCCCS141 Happy Hour

My apologies for the dull image – we have a very cloudy, dreary day here, and I just couldn’t get the colour to show up properly 🙁

The cardstock base is Tempting Turquoise, and I used the wonderfully bright Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper for the background squares and the strip across the bottom.  The stamp set I chose is one of my favourites, called Happy Hour; I’m very sad to see it on the retiring list, so I have to use it while I still can!  You can still get your set – just order before June 1st!

Taking my colour cue from the DSP, I stamped the drinks in Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry inks.  Yummy colours!  The sentiment is stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink; I used the smallest circle punch to snip off the corners to get the ‘ticket’ look on the Whisper White cardstock.  3 Candy Dots in the bottom right corner finish off this card.  As I said – this was a nice simple sketch to work with, that makes a cute card suitable for anyone.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s challenge card, and I do hope you’ll check out the Paper Craft Crew blog – there’s tons of inspiration, from the design crew and the cards submitted for the challenges.  It’s worth your time to have a look!  Voting will start tomorrow, too (hint, hint!) 🙂

I’ll be back later to share with you the Mother’s Day card we made with the Bouquet class, as I promised!

Until then – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project; whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :) If you're in Canada, you can Join My Team as a SU! demonstrator. If you're in the Great Vancouver area, you're welcome to join my classes - we always have fun!

  1. Hi Deborah, love your card but not the colour quality. What a shame that the overcast day sabotaged your photo! I’m imagining the bright pop of colours that the Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight must be in real life. Thanks for joining us this week for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge.

    1. If I had more time (read ‘been more organized) I would’ve tried again for a better photo, Heidi. Unfortunately, since I was be a last minute Lucy – I had to get my submission in last minute! Thanks for visiting & leaving a message 🙂

  2. Hi Deborah, I love your card. Great use of colors and I just love the DSP that you used. Thanks for playing along with the Paper Craft Crew. Look for your card to be included in this weeks Featured Artisan blog post.

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
