PCCCS145 – Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

Paper Craft Crew DT Badge

Welcome to another sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!   I just love our new header, don’t you?  It was designed by our wonderful team member, Crystal Komara – she personalized each one for each team member 🙂

This week’s sketch challenge is another fabulous one to play along with:

PCCCS145

I’m not quite ready to part with the retiring In Colours yet – so I included them in my card:

pcccs145 something for baby

Coastal Cabana is such a cool, refreshing blue; I  hope it comes back in the next colour refresh, whenever that may happen!  You can see I used the Coastal Cabana for my card base, and layered a panel of Smoky Slate, embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder.   I punched a 2 1/2″ Circle from Lullaby Designer Series Paper, then cut off 1/3rd of it, and split the pieces of the circle on either side of a piece of Whisper White cardstock. All of the images come from the Something for Baby stamp set – which I’m happy to say is not retiring!  I stamped the baby onsie image in Crisp Cantaloupe onto a scrap of Whisper White, along with the heart in Coastal Cabana, the hanger in Smoky Slate, and the diaper pin which I coloured using the Smoky Slate and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write markers.  I used the Baby’s First Framelits Dies and Big Shot, and was able to die-cut all those pieces!  Isn’t it great when being creative is made easy for us?!  Oh – and the little flowers were also die cut, too!

I stamped the sentiment from Petite Pairs using Coastal Cabana ink on Whisper White cardstock, used the Large Oval Punch to punch it out, and the Scallop Oval punch for the Coastal Cabana layer behind it.

After layering all the pieces onto the base, mostly with dimensionals, I added a small bow using the Crisp Cantaloupe Baker’s Twine.

I just love using sketches for card designs; once you’ve decided on which stamp set to use, the card comes together so quickly.  I hope you’ll come on over to the Paper Craft Crew page and play along with the sketch challenge – you don’t have to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to play!

Until next time – happy stamping!
