I’ll be honest – I hadn’t used Perfect Pearls before receiving them for this Hop. The shimmer is amazing! I chose to use the Wendy Vecchi Country Flowers set to show off the colours.

As I’m sure you know, photographing shiny objects can be difficult!

Start with a piece of black cardstock. Work on one image at a time. I did this because I wasn’t sure of the ‘working time’ of the Perfect Medium. Stamp the background of the flower in the Perfect Medium. Next, brush on the Perfect Bronze pearl powder. Once the image is covered, tap and/or brush off any excess powder. Lightly spray the image with water, to ‘set’ the powder. Next, cover the detail flower image stamp with Versamark ink. Stamp over the Perfect Pearl flower base. Now, cover the image with Ranger Letter It Embossing Powder in Cranberry. Tap off excess embossing powder, and heat set. Repeat the steps with 2 more flowers. Use these same steps for the leaves, except cover the leaf base with Pewter Perfect Pearls, and emboss the details with Sage Letter It embossing powder.

Here’s a close up photo of the shimmer & shine of the Perfect Pearls.

After embossing, use the coordinating dies to die cut the flowers and leaves. Next, layer them together in the middle of a black cardstock panel. Stamp the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock in Versamark ink. Cover it with Wisteria Letter It embossing powder, and heat set.

Finish the card by layering a strip of metallic gold paper on the left side of a dark cranberry colour card base. Attach your card front with foam tape or squares. Finally, attach a strip of the metallic gold paper underneath the sentiment, and attach both to the bottom of the card.

All of the shine and dimension makes this a WOW card for someone special!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
