PICKET FENCE STUDIOS JILL GIRL
Wow, we have had some really wet, windy and dreary days lately! That’s how we all know that it’s winter on the west coast. We don’t get much snow, except for in the mountains – that’s why we’re such a ‘green’ province! Anyway, I thought I’d share with you a card that gives you that warm & cozy feeling, using the Picket Fence Studios Jill Girl stamp.
This is a single image stamp – but what an image! Anyone who has bundled up to go outside on a crisp day can relate to this image – especially if you’re a girl who loves scarves & warm beverages.
A LITTLE NOTE
Since our weather has been so grey lately, I decided to go with some bright colours for my card!
CARD FRONT DETAILS
This is a nice, simple card; the time it takes to colour is very therapeutic. I love how the details of the scarf, mittens and mug cozy are very visible. The hair is very detailed, too. Start by stamping the image onto white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. You can choose your favourite markers to colour with; I used some Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers, as I have them in the colours I wanted. I used Light & Dark Daffodil Delight for the sweater and hair, Crumb Cake Light & Dark for the mug cozy & hair, and Bermuda Bay Light & Dark, and some Pool Party for the mittens and scarf. Add a little touch of pink to her cheeks, and some red to her top lip, that you can barely see peeking out from the scarf.
After colouring, die cut the image with the Big Shot and oval framelit.
The card base is SU! Daffodil Delight cardstock, with an embossed panel of Bermuda Bay on top. I used the SU! Cable Knit embossing folder, because it goes so well with the image!
The sentiment is from the Penny Black Sentiment Collection, stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.
I hope you liked today’s card – and that it gives you a warm & cozy feeling! I don’t have an affiliate link for Picket Fence Studios Jill Girl, but if you go to their website, you can order it there. It’s currently out of stock at Simon Says Stamp. If you use the affiliate links below – thank you very much! I appreciate your support of my creativity!
