Happy New Year, stamping friends!!

I hope that you’re looking forward to a fun and exciting 2015 – I know I am!

And as a stamper and Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, there’s no better way to start a new year (or any time, for that matter!) than with a new Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration!

Being a demonstrator definitely has it’s perks; we get to not only see the new catalogues at least a month before they go ‘live’, but we also get to pre-order from them, as well!  This gives us a chance to try out the new products, figure out how to  use any new tools that are available, and put together new kits – all so that we can show them off to you, our wonderful customers!

So really, it’s a win-win situation; we get to rationalize our purchases in a business sense (we need to show them off to you), and you benefit, because you get to see them before you buy them! 🙂  That’s my story, and I’m sticking with it! LOL

This January is particularly exciting for me, as for the first time, I’ll be travelling to the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Convention, in Orlando Florida.!  I’ve never been to Florida, either, so this will be doubly exciting.  I’m really looking forward to learning new business skills, meeting a lot of demos whom I’ve only ‘met’ online, and having lots of fun!

Since I’ve been planning & saving for my Leadership trip, I’ve only pre-ordered a few new products – here’s one great new bundle that I purchased:

Crazy about You stamp set

This stamp set is called ‘Crazy about You’ (item #138856wm/138869cm/137137photopolymer), and you can also order it as a Bundle with the coordinating Hello You Thinlits Dies!  Ordering the Bundle is the best idea – you get both the stamp set which contains 30 words/phrases & 3 image stamps, plus the 4 Framelits Dies for die cutting the words ‘happy’, ‘hello’, ‘thanks’ and ‘you’ – at 15% off the combined price!

For this card, I used a Wild Wasabi card stock base, and stamped the leaf image in Wild Wasabi ink.  Then I die-cut the ‘hello’ using the Framelits and Whisper White card stock, then punched the top using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  I rounded the corners of the tag and the card base using the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.  I then stamped 1 of the flower images from the set onto Whisper White card stock twice; first in Daffodil Delight, then in Calypso Coral.  I cut them both out – full image in the Daffodil Delight and then just the inside part of the flower in the Calypso Coral, and stacked them together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  After wrapping the Baker’s Twine around the card several times & tying a bow, I attached the flower and tag with Dimensionals, and then stamped ‘Just Sayin’ above the tag.

This stamp set has so many phrases & words, you’ll be able to use it all year long, for any occasion – it includes birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation, Baby, and lots more!

This next card is using the same set – just different words!

Crazy about You happy spring

I don’t know about you, but I’m already looking forward to spring, and warmer weather! 🙂

For this card, I embossed the Rose Red card base using the Lovely Lacy embossing folder (in the Annual Catalogue), then added a panel of the gorgeous new Painted Blossoms Designer Series Paper (#137784 pg. 19 Occasions catalogue).  This new paper is so gorgeous, it can be used as the focal point on a card!!  In our catalogue preview, we learned that the papers were printed from actual hand-painted paper originals!  I thought this one was particularly suited to spring – tulips 🙂

I used the Hello You Framelits Dies to die cut the’happy’ in Blackberry Bliss card stock, then glued it to the card base using Tombow Multipurpose Glue.  I stamped ‘spring’ from the Crazy about You stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on Whisper White card stock, and used the Modern Label Punch to punch it out.  I made the flowers using the retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack; the embellishments are the Candy Dots in Daffodil Delight and Rose Red.

Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed the new products that I shared with you today; remember that they will be available to order on January 6th!  If you want to be able to order them before that – Join My Team, and become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!  You can enjoy all the same perks that I enjoy 🙂

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
