Welcome to the latest sketch challenge! This time it’s a two week Paper Craft Crew challenge, so you have plenty of time to play along. Let’s have a look at what you’ll be working from, shall we?
PCC358 SKETCH CHALLENGE
So here’s your starting point – the sketch. Remember, it’s up to you to choose your colours, stamp sets, etc. You can also change the orientation (vertical, horizontal) of the sketch, to fit your project.
MINI BIRTHDAY GREETING
I kept true to the sketch as you see it. Using a free stamp that I got with an order from Studio Katia, and some fun patterned paper from my stash.
You can see that I switched up the star shape with balloons – feel free to ‘mix it up’ on your project, too!
Once you decide what to use for your focal point, the rest will come together quickly. On a white cardstock rectangle, stamp the Mini Birthday Greeting sentiment in Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay ink. I happened to have the Waterfront stamp set already on my desk from a different project, so I used the small dots stamp from it. Those are stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink, around the sentiment.
Use the SU! Balloon Bouquet punch for the 2 balloons, punched from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Add the shine detail to the balloons with a white gel pen. The next thing to do is cut all of your layers for the card base, the strips and backing rectangle for behind the sentiment.
Layer them all together, using foam tape for dimension on the sentiment and balloons. That’s how easy it is!
