Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop – Sale-a-bration Style!

Hello Stamping Friends!  It's that Wonderful Wacky Watercooler time again – another Blog Hop with an amazing 11 participating blogs!  Boy, are you in for a great time ๐Ÿ™‚

In case this is the first Wacky Watercooler blog hop you've followed, let me introduce the gang!  We are a group of like-minded demonstators who have all gotten to know each other (some only virtually, some in person) through the demonstrator-only site called Stampin' Connection.  (It's one of the many perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator – you meet so many amazing people, from around the world!)

We've decided that we like getting together (virtually) to create, and by the numbers of viewers from our past Blog Hops, we're guessing that you enjoy it, too!  So we're going to start doing these Hops monthly, and we hope you'll keep coming back to join in the fun!

This Hop is all about Sale-abrating; that's right, Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration, the annual opportunity to reward yourself with FREE PRODUCTS just for making your usual purchases ๐Ÿ™‚  Sa-weet, right?!

Now, the Hop runs in a circular fashion, so no matter where you started, as long as you keep clicking on the "Next" button, you'll go through all the particpating blogs.  If you like to 'hop around', you will find a list of all participating blogs at the end of this post, as well as by clicking on the "Home" button, which will take you to the Wacky Watercooler home site.

You may have come to me by way of Kath R.'s blog – isn't she talented?!  I just love Kath's style ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, without further ado, here is my first offering for this edition of the Wacky Watercooler February Sale-a-bration Blog Hop!

With the exception of the cardstock and the doily, this card is made entirely from FREE products from Sale-a-bration!  I tied several lengths of the coloured twine in knots along the centre, and then frayed the ends by unwinding the twine, for a fun look!

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Pool Party, Summer Starfruit, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White

Designer Series Paper: Sweet Sorbet (#133521)

Stamp Set: See Ya Later (#133533wm/#133536cm)

Ink: Summer Starfruit

Accessories: Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack – Twine (#133522), Tea Lace PaperDoily (#129399 ), Large Oval Punch (#119855), Scallop Oval Punch (#119856)

My next card also features the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper – this paper pack is so versatile, with it's varied designs and colours!

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Pool Party

Designer Series Paper: Sweet Sorbet

Inks: Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, including Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight markers

Stamp Set: See Ya Later

Accessories: Adorning Accents Edgelits (#125595)

For my last project, I have to admit that I did stray from the Sale-a-bration brochure – only because it's almost Valentine's Day, and I just couldn't resist!!

Take a look, and tell me what you think!

Well….what do you think??  My boys are older now, but I just couldn't resist making them each a card featuring the super-cute Monster Hugs – boys & girls!  You can see that the hands fold over to perfectly hold a chocolate nugget; and inside…

Well, I Freakin' Love You!!  Teenaged boys will appreciate that, I think! ๐Ÿ™‚ (I hope!)  I scored and folded my cardstock into 3 x 3" sections, so that when it is opened, the Monster Girl opens her arms to reveal her true heart ๐Ÿ™‚

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Whisper White

Designer Series Paper: Watercolour Wonder (Occasions Catalogue)

Stamp Set: Love You to the Moon (#133140wm/133143cm – Occasions Catalogue), Yippee Skippee (#131341wm/131344cm – Annual Catalogue)

Inks: Pacific Point, Gumball Green

Other: Monster Hugs -Boy #132162, Monster Hugs – Girl #132163

Non Stampin' Up! : chocolate nugget, Action Wobble(behind heart)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by – I hope that you've enjoyed my projects for this installment of the Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop!  Now you'll want to head over to Gail's blog, to see the amazing projects she's made for you!    I hope to see you again soon ๐Ÿ™‚

What a nifty idea to fray that twine. Who would have thought? I really like your cards and your use of the Sweet Sorbet paper now has me convinced to get it. I just wasn’t sure about it. You pushed me over the edge.

Thanks, Christine!ย  The Sweet Sorbet is definetly much cuter in real life!ย  Have fun creating ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Deb, thanks so much for being part of the blog hop. You certainly upped the fun factor in your “once in a lifetime” card by knotting and fraying that twine. I’m definitely going to keep that in mind. I love the effect! I didn’t like those little monsters in the Monster Hugs (go figure!) but wish I had seen your card before they became unavailable. What a great card! Sure, your boys will love the chocolate, but if they don’t love the card, too, send them over for a good “talking to”. Thanks again for sharing.

    • Deborah Smart says:

Thanks for the kind comments, Heidi!ย  And a big ‘thanks’ to you, for organizing the Hop – it was such fun for everyone ๐Ÿ™‚
