Well, That Didn't Go As Planned!

Have you ever had one  of those days where everything you touch, fails to work out? Well, that’s been me at my craft desk these past couple of days. I’m constantly saying ‘well, that didn’t work out as planned’ to myself – and not in a good way!

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

I’ve been trying to work on my alcohol ink art, and it’s just not cooperating. Okay, I know it’s ‘user error’, but geesh! I’ll finally get a piece to where I don’t hate it and then – the next drop of ink I add totally ruins it! Right now I’m working on tiles as my substrate, which is good, in one way. When your project goes wrong on tile – you can just add alcohol (the non-drinking kind) and wipe it right off! It’s true – wipe it off with alcohol, and you can start all over again. Which I’ve done many, many, many times…. Much cheaper than having to throw out sheets of Yupo paper, though.

ON THE DARK SIDE

On the other hand, I’ve just about used up a whole can of compressed air – which is NOT cheap! And I just can’t use a straw for long; I get seriously dizzy.

When I DO finish a piece that I’m happy with, I will share it with you. In the meantime, I’ll share this that I found on the internet – something to keep in mind, when you’re finished your own art piece.

Well, That Didn't Go As Planned!

GO FORTH, AND CREATE!

Even though things haven’t gone as planned for me, I will keep trying, and creating! I hope that you will, too. I do have something that DID work out – come back tomorrow, and check it  out! Thanks for hangin’ with me today.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)
