Which Colours Will You Choose?

Which colours will you choose? That’s right – this week is a Colour Challenge with the Paper Craft Crew! I had a hard time making up my mind, so I’m looking forward to seeing which 3 of these 4 colours you choose to use.

PCC285 COLOUR CHALLENGE

Which Colours Will You Choose?

Choose any 3 of the 4 colours in the challenge. Use of neutrals, such as white, vanilla, black, brown and metallics are ‘free’ to use. You also choose the layout, and the stamp set you’ll use. Really, this challenge is all about you!

I finally decided on using Turquoise (Bermuda Bay), Purple (Rich Razzleberry) and Yellow (Daffodil Delight) for my 3 challenge colours.

BLOSSOMING BASKET BUNDLE

Which Colours Will You Choose?

I chose to use the newest Level 2 bundle from the Sale-A-Bration brochure, called Blossoming Basket Bundle. This bundle includes both the Blossoming Basket stamp set and the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (DTIEF, for short!). You can get this bundle for free with a qualifying order of $120 or more!

DETAILS

First, stamp the basket image from the Blossoming Basket stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Colour the basket with the Crumb Cake Combo Pack Stampin’ Blends. The yellow flowers are coloured using the Daffodil Delight Combo Pack Blends, and the middle flower uses the Rich Razzleberry Combo Pack Blends. I love using these new markers, as the colour beautifully without streaking, and using the Dark shade easily adds depth and texture to the images. Use the Old Olive Combo Pack Blends to colour the leaves.

Stamp the small butterfly and tag, also in the Blossoming Basket stamp set, onto a small piece of Whisper White cardstock, in the Memento ink. Colour the tag in Light Daffodil Yellow Blends, and the small hearts with the Light Rich Razzleberry Blends marker. For the butterfly, use the Light Bermuda Bay and the Light Daffodil Delight Blends Markers. After colouring these images, use your Paper Snips to cut them out, then attach them to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Create a card base from Daffodil Delight cardstock. Attach a panel of the new Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper – silver lines pattern – onto the front. Cut a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and emboss it using the Big Shot and the Basket Weave DTIEF. Attach it across the middle of the DSP, with Dimensionals. Finally, attach the coloured panel on top, centering it in the middle, with Dimensionals.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project; whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :) If you're in Canada, you can Join My Team as a SU! demonstrator. If you're in the Great Vancouver area, you're welcome to join my classes - we always have fun!

    1. Ha Ha! I did see what you did there, with ‘colour’! 🙂 So glad you liked my card, Susan. I thought I should let the flowers ‘shine’ on this one.

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
