WHO WON PRIZES?!
Everyone wants to know – who won prizes?! We had not only the grand ‘door prize’, but we also carried the spirit of Stampin’ Up! events and had ‘prize patrol’ draws throughout.
PRIZE PATROL DRAWS
In case you’re wondering ‘why is it called prize patrol?’ – it’s because that’s what they’re called at Stampin’ Up! events, held by our home office! At random times throughout the event, they’ll announce they’re about to do a draw – everyone chants ‘prize patrol’, and everyone who has the matching – colour, name, etc., to what is drawn, wins a prize! We kept our a bit simpler; just drawing numbered tickets. Everyone who registered was given 1 draw ticket; if a person registered for 2 events (eg. crop and a class), they were given 2 draw tickets.
FRESH FIG INK PAD
Marguerite (on the left) was our first winner, of the Fresh Fig ink pad! This was a perfect prize for her, as she’s new to stamping!
NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES
This is my team member Margaret (left) awarding Ally (granddaughter of team member Lynn) the package of Note Cards & Envelopes! I know Ally will put these to good use – she’s a great stamper, and loves making cards!
CABLE KNIT EMBOSSING FOLDER
Several people were holding their breath, hoping to win – but it was Marilyn who was the lucky winner of the Cable Knit Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!
PAPER PUMPKIN KIT
Evangeline was thrilled to win the Paper Pumpkin Kit! This was the kit from last Christmas, that made the gorgeous shaker Christmas cards!
After the ‘prize patrol’ draws were done, everyone’s tickets went back into the box to be included for the grand door prize.
GRAND PRIZE DRAW
Everyone held their breath, while I drew the winning ticket….
And it was Colleen (left), a long time customer of mine, who was the winner of the Grand Prize – the Stamparatus! I was happy to award this fabulous prize to her. Colleen is an avid stamper and all-round crafter, and I know she will love using the Stamparatus to make her projects go quickly & perfectly. Colleen often creates many, many cards for her church groups, so it will come in very handy. To make sure she could start using her Stamparatus right away, the prize included Whisper White cardstock, a package of In Color cardstock, and an ink spot.
MORE FUN TO SHARE
I have a few more pictures taken during the event, of the ladies working on their projects. I hope you have fun looking!
Ladies working on their Framed Samplers, while team member Lynn (at the head of the table) watches, ready to assist.
Stampers can’t keep going on just ink alone – snacks are necessary, too! Fresh fruit and flavoured popcorn were amongst the snacks available. These ladies are working on the Birthday projects.
Jane says ‘stamp’, not ‘cheese’! Here she is at work at her Crop table. I can spy the Waterfront stamp set!
Susan and I have been friends most of our lives, so she resigns herself to a photo – knowing I won’t give up until I take one! (notice she balances out her watermelon slices with a brownie!)
Marguerite, who is new to stamping, is rightly very proud of completing her sampler! She may be new to stamping, but she is an avid crafter. Now she has another craft to add to her repertoire!
