It’s been awesome to see how much you’re enjoying the Watercooler Wednesday challenges lately!
This week, Marsha is hosting, and has chosen a Masculine Themed ‘Anything Goes’ challenge:
As long as your card has a masculine theme – anything else goes! Your choice of stamp set and colours 🙂 By the way – don’t you just love this graphic? It reminds me of ‘Men in Black’! This is what I created:
I decided to go with a technique that I haven’t done in a while – it’s stamping directly onto the embossing folder.
I opened up the Woodland Embossing Folder, and inked up the car image from Guy Greetings with Chocolate Chip ink. I then stamped directly onto the embossing folder (the debossed side), then closed it with a panel of Whisper White cardstock inside, and ran it through the Big Shot as normal. Doing this transfers the ink onto your cardstock, at the same time as it embosses!
Once that was done, I used a Sponge Dauber with some Soft Suede ink and gently rubbed along the raised areas of the trees, to give them a bit more depth. I then sponged Pear Pizzazz ink onto the bottom of the panel, and some Soft Sky on the top. I also sponged a bit of the Soft Suede underneath where the car is standing.
I created a card base using Delightful Dijon cardstock, then added a small panel of Pear Pizzazz cardstock along the left side. On top of that, I added a piece of Burlap Ribbon, then added the embossed panel, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the banner sentiment from the Guy Greeting set in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White, then hand cut it using my Paper Snips. It was attached to the card front using Dimensionals. Now, once I decide who is the ‘World’s Greatest’, I can add that to the inside sentiment! 🙂
Be sure to see the cards made by the rest of the team at the Watercooler Wednesday blog, then link up your card for the challenge. It’s so inspiring to see so many amazing ideas!
Until next time – happy stamping!
