You Fill Me With Sunshine

YOU FILL ME WITH SUNSHINE

The adorable MFT Beach Bunnies stamp set isn’t just for beaches! We’ve been having gorgeous weather this week, which prompted me to use the You Fill Me With Sunshine sentiment. Today, the bunnies are playing in the grass. I’d like to be out there with them!

BUNNIES IN THE GRASS

It was fun creating this little scene, using dies and blending some inks.

You Fill Me With Sunshine

I’ve used this Beach Bunnies set before, placing a couple of different bunnies on the beach. If you missed it, you can see it in this post.  Having matching dies for the stamp set really enhances the use of the set, I think.

CARD DETAILS

Start with a panel of white cardstock. Create the blue sky by blending Tumbled Glass and Broken China inks with Life Changing Blender Brushes.  On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp the 2 bunnies, clouds, and bird images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Use your favourite colouring medium; I used my alcohol markers from SU!.  You’ll notice that I gave the standing bunny a polka dot shirt – it was easy to do! Just colour & shade the top, and then use a darker colour to make the dots on the shirt!  Give each bunny a coordinating bow; I also gave the little bunny pink cheeks. You can just barely see them, along with the pink foot bottoms.

After colouring the images, use the matching MFT Beach Bunnies Dies with a Big Shot to cut them out. While you have your cutting machine out, use the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Die and die cut 2 pieces of grass. Add some dimension to the grass by blending some Mowed Lawn ink onto the blades and add some shadows in the flat areas.

BUILD YOUR CARD

Now you’re ready to put your card front together! Stamp the sentiment from the Beach Bunnies stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black in in the sky area. Next, glue the tallest portion of the grass to the bottom of the panel. Add the shortest panel of grass to the bottom, with foam tape. Stamp a couple of the clouds directly onto the front panel in Broken China ink. Layer the clouds, bird and bunnies onto the panel with foam tape or squares.

Finally, add your front panel onto a green cardstock card base. I used the green cardstock Lawn Fawn Sherbet cardstock assortment. It’s very good quality; heavy weight and very sturdy.

CREATE YOUR OWN SUNNY DAY

Have some fun with the bunnies, and tell your favourite person that they fill you with sunshine! These bunnies aren’t just for little kids – they make grown up’s smile, too 🙂  I’ve included links below, if you’d like to order the supplies used to create this card.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to stamp and create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a 3D item, or a card, or scrapbook page - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you stamp and create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
